Who am I?

I’m Aleix Pena (he/him). I’m a Psychologist BSc (Hons) Psych, and I offer psychoanalytically informed counselling.

It’s quite hard to write an ‘about me/who I am section’ whilst staying a blank slate, yet, informing future potential clients about why I am doing this, and how I work. Find below my academic experience.

Academic experience:

  • Currently studying a Master of Arts in Psychoanalytic Studies at Birkbeck, University of London.

  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology. First Class, at The Open University. Milton Keynes, England, United Kingdom.

  • Graduate member (GMBPsS) of The British Psychological Society.

  • Introduction to psychoanalysis course at L’Espace Freudien International, ALYP. (online).

  • Seminar on Plato’s symposium and the VIII seminar of Lacan ‘Transference’, at Parrhesia Berlin, School of Continental Philosophy. Berlin, Germany.

  • Seminar on ‘Love and Grief, from a Freudian and Lacanian perspective’, at ‘Psicoanálsis Lacan Freud, Buenos Aires, Argentina (online).

Currently, I’m doing my own analysis as an analysand three times per week in Berlin.
